Ehmann Associates is an award winning multi-talented architectural design firm
SPECIALIZING
IN RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
but
capable of taking on any architectural commission.
Wayne
Ehmann, principal of Wayne Ehmann Associates, began his career studying the
technical aspects of Building Construction at S.U.N.Y. Farmingdale, New York
where in 1962 he received an Associate in Applied Science degree.
After working with
engineering and architectural firms for several years he decided to pursue a
professional degree in architecture at Kansas State University. An awakening
social and aesthetic awareness brought him back to New York in 1966 where he
attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and received a Bachelors of Architecture
Degree in 1970.
In 1970 Wayne Ehmann formed
the partnership of Ciardullo/Ehmann in New York City. For 10 years they produced
a variety of award winning architectural projects.
The partnership's work
covered a large spectrum of building types, some of which they built and
developed themselves.
Their work, published in
such magazines as Architectural Record and House Beautiful, has also earned
numerous design awards including the most prestigious Albert S. Bard Award in
1975 given by the City Club of New York.
In 1980, following a need to
develop his own individual firm, Wayne Ehmann formed Wayne Ehmann Associates, in
Sea Cliff on the north shore of Long Island, New York.
The small boutique firm
of loosely connected professionals, dedicated to good design, led by Wayne
Ehmann, has succeeded to earn many American Institute of Architects Design
Excellence Awards, nicknamed "ARCHIS," for a variety of projects: residential,
interiors, municipal and commercial. The firm has even won the "Color Award"
making it one of the few firms on Long Island to win
