Wayne Ehmann, principal of Wayne Ehmann Associates, has been Chief Architect of MTA Metro North Railroad in New York City since 1984. In his tenure there he has helped master plan and implement the restoration of Grand Central Terminal (GCT).
Included in his responsibilities was overseeing for Metro North all of the various phases of the restoration of GCT. Mr. Ehmann directly supervised early GCT restoration efforts like the $4M Roof Restoration Project, the $3M Main Waiting Room Restoration Project and the $3M Vanderbilt Taxi Stand Project. He also participated in the implementation of the $200M GCT Master Plan and the Retail Revitalization / Main Concourse / Sky Ceiling restoration work.
He brings this extraordinary GCT restoration and prior preservation experience to this firm.
He and his staff has overseen the restorations of smaller train stations along the railroad right of way.
